Details:

We would like to invite you to join us for an informal event on 6 May that is part of the 2020 International Celebration of Women in Mathematics (ICMS) https://may12.womeninmaths.org/.  This is a great chance to hear from women with a mathematical background who are at different stages of their careers. The talks will NOT be detailed technical talks but will, we hope, inspire you through hearing about different women’s journeys in mathematics.

We are delighted that the speakers include Katharine Stevens, Assistant Vice President of Air Worldwide  https://www.air-worldwide.com/ in addition to senior and more junior researchers who are at (or have a strong link with) the University of Reading. We also have an Equality and Diversity talk from Professor Simon Chandler-Wilde.

All are very welcome to attend (and it is definitely not restricted to the University of Reading).   Please forward this invitation to your colleagues, students (undergrads are most welcome), postdocs, friends, etc and encourage them to attend.

To register:

The event is being run using zoom with the assistance of the ICMS.  To attend, you will need to register by 5 May. Details of how to do this are given at https://www.icms.org.uk/V_WOMENINMATHS.php.  Those who register will be sent the zoom joining details on the morning of 6 May.
