We are pleased to announce that the Jamboree 2018 will be held on 19th – 21st March at the University of Reading. This is an annual residential Mathematics of Planet Earth CDT convention, in which MPE CDT students will have an opportunity to showcase their research and its impact.This event will provide increased professional opportunities and access to a large network of industry & affiliate partners.
The programme comprises:
19th-20th March A Study Group with Industry, is a two-day workshop at which academic researchers and MPE CDT students work collaboratively with representatives from industry on research problems submitted by EDF and AIR Worldwide.
21st March Some of the activities for that day include: student poster presentations; a plenary lecture delivered by Professor Judith Berner (National Center of Atmospheric Research, Boulder, Colorado, USA);and a student-led symposium. Networking and discussion will form a key part of the event, with a drinks reception taking place in the late afternoon.
