The “Mathematics of Planet Earth” exhibition is currently presented at the Imperial’s College Main Entrance.
The event has been organised by the MPE CDT, in collaboration with Centre•Sciences and Imaginary platform. The official opening of the MPE exhibition took place on the 24th October 2015. We were delighted to have Prof Christiane Rousseau (Université de Montréal) perform the opening ceremony as she originally launched this initiative in year 2013. The opening and the reception that followed was attended by almost a hundred guests which included: Jean-Paul Ngome Abiaga (UNESCO), Prof Tom Welton (Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Imperial College London), Professor James Stirling CBE FRS (Provost of Imperial College London), Prof. Dr. Dietmar Kröner (University of Freiburg; Research Group Leader for Dune-Ash – an award winning Interactive Computer Simulation).
The exhibition is attracting great interest, not only within the research community but also from the general public.
