Prof. Ted Shepherd, a member of the MPE CDT staff, elected Fellow of Royal Society.

We are delighted to announce that a member of the MPE CDT staff, Professor Ted Shepherd, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society.

Professor Shepherd, Grantham Chair in Climate Science at Reading’s Department of Meteorology, is one of 50 leading scientists who have been elected to join the Fellowship of the Royal Society, the world’s oldest scientific society in continuous existence.

The Fellowship of the Royal Society is made up of the most eminent scientists, engineers and technologists from or living and working in the UK and the Commonwealth. Past Fellows and Foreign Members have included Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.
