The centre has established strategic partnerships with key industrial partners, with weather and climate services in the UK and internationally, and with leading national and international centres of research and doctoral training. As well as providing world-leading expertise in the mathematical and physical understanding of weather, oceans and climate, and the practical application of this knowledge in a range of contexts, the partners will work with us in:

• Providing exciting and challenging PhD and MRes project opportunities, and providing co-supervision and co-funding for joint projects of real interest to the partners
• Providing commercial and industrial internship opportunities to students in the CDT programme
• Providing opportunities for (funded) international research exchanges and international networking opportunities
• Delivering the advanced training courses, and the third year summer school at the Met Office, that form part of the unique MPE CDT experience
